So doug zell and Emily munger decided to do something. They didn't set out to change the world, and they set out to change a small part of it. They roast coffee in the shop, using the oldest rather than the most advanced equipment, honing their craft and striving for perfection in every aspect of the experience. Little did doug or Emily know that what began as an intimate, personal connection to people and the community would grow into something that would help shape the entire industry.
